Future Riddim is a melodic, high-energy subgenre of dubstep that blends repetitive "riddim" bass patterns with bright, futuristic, future-bass-inspired melodies and complex sound design. Emerging around 2018-2019, it typically features 140-150 BPM half-time beats, vowel-filtered "shreeky" synths, and heavy sidechaining to create a euphoric yet heavy sound pioneered by artists like Oolacile and Ace Aura.
